Any other classical pianists?

I like a lot of classical music. Can't say it's my forte (Final Fantasy music is just so much fun, and modern pieces are weirdly awesome :thumb: ), but I would say I've had at least a bit of classical training.

if you have an acoustic piano, John Cage's prepared piano stuff is fun. also bela bartok, prokofiev, shostakovich are fun as well.

I play mostly classical music.

My favorite composer is Grieg, but I also play the more "classic" composers like Bach, Beethoven, Mozart, Chopin.

I don't really like the contemporary classical music, but I do enjoy playing Bartok and Rachmanninof and the likes...

I have an electric piano, so no prepared piano stuff for me. I've heard of Bela Bartok before, she was in some of the Conservatory books I had to go through. The songs they put by her in there were very boring...I'm sure her other stuff is nothing like that, they always seem to put those kind of pieces in those books. Any suggestions for songs?

I am not a classical pianist mostly because I am self-taught. I do dick around with Bach though, a huge influence. I'm more into Progressive styled players because they mix all elements of music which is more in depth for me.

final fantasy music is not classical music, just because it uses strings occasionally does not make it classical music :) when i hear the philidelphia symphony orchestra play it in concert then i will consider it to be classical music, but until then, i do not.

I only play classical. I find that other music is boring to me, there isn't enough going on in it. Like the left hand plays chords whilst the right hand play the melody, whereas with classical, both hands are important in the melody.

Believe it or not, but video game music takes a lot of classical influences.
