Here's a plea I doubt many will be able to answer. But I'll give it a shot anyway. The classic version of "Descent I" on Mac has amazing music that differs from the music on PC's original version in that the music on the Mac is made with digital and rock instruments rather than MIDI. I used to listen to the game CD in my CD player, and I loved it because of how they made guitar, bass and drums rock music and mixed it with the techno sensibility of the compositions. The ending Credits music was especially good. A few years ago, however, a friend of mine, thinking it funny that I was listening to video game music, took the CD, drew all over the sensor part of it with marker and then threw it out the window where it smashed on the street. I had grown tired of it by that point so I didn't make much of a fuss about it. Even back then the game only cost me 12 bucks to buy new because it was so old.
Unfortunately, lately I've had a craving to hear those "live" versions of the Descent songs again, and they are only found on the Mac and Playstation versions of the game: Mac version is the only one where you could rip the MP3s as well. The MIDIs are easily downloadable off the net, but the live versions appear to be liscensed and unable to be reproduced. If someone could give me these versions of the songs, PARTICULARLY the credits song, or link me to a place where I could buy a new copy of this very old game, it would be much appreciated.
