As I wade through the ruins of the schoolbuilding
where ghosts of hungry minds haunt in limbo
where the walls crumbled without regard for
structure or direction.
Where the thick smog of culture
eroded the walls and blackboards
filled the lungs of every student
filtered through the ventillation undetected and
undetectable
And with every breath they take
their smile grows wider
cardiovascular opiates
and we get higher and higher...
And as I mourn in the ruins of the schoolbuilding
where the books have all crumbled without regard for
Social Progress.
Untouched by hands jaded by
television remotes
Their pages obscured by time and disinterest
Discarded
