I'm just wondering if anyone can name me some really good splatter/gore/bloody type first person shooters for PS2.

Manhunt

Not a First Person Shooter, but easily the most graphically violent game that's widely available.

I have manhunt. Good stuff. Kinda hard though.

Isn't the suffering third person?

Is that the Rockstar game where you have to sneak up on people and you can stab them with things, or sufficate them?

Haha, I remember that game then. I rented it once and it was awesome.

Maybe I can buy a used version. It was such a cool game.

It has a pretty twisted story too. Just like the whole idea of the game.

what about silent hill?

yeah manhunt was cool people dismissed it as just an idiotic violence for the sake of violence game to rake in and desensitise young players

and that is absolutely correct

no not really underneath all the violence lies a solid game system with great stealth pieces and a good storyline

My favorite weapon was that big butchers knife (or machete I forget which one) where each of the three kills resulted in decapitation.

I'm partial to the Resident Evils. Outbreak 2 is pretty bloody.

Soldier of Fortune 1 & 2 should be up your alley. Check out Doom 3 and Half-Life 2, as well for some nice gore, and all-around great gameplay, for the latter at least.

Well, I don't know if these are for PS2, sorry.

Not first person.....but God of War is full of great violence and gore.

Solider of Fortune isn't on PS2 is it? 'cause if it is get that, blow peoples heads/limbs off with shotguns.

Stylish gore = Hitman but that's not really a FPS.

I wasn't very useful.

They have the first one on PS2 (under Soldier of Fortune Gold), but I don't know about any others.

Grand Theft Auto series was always bloody and so is God of War. You should definitly check out all those titles.
