I'm a progressive rock keyboard player who has played close to three years. I'm obsessed with the playing and compositions of Keith Emerson. If anyone has any sheet music they would like to offer or any comments of his playing, let me know. Also, www.purevolume.com/queenaugust ... That's some of my playing. Let me know what you fellow players think.

I don't have any of zhis sheet music but I do have a bunch of ELP CD's. He really is frickin cool.

The playing isn't bad at all man, inventive though. What keyboard are you using?

I use a Korg M1 from the early 90s and a Yamaha cs2x. I would like to think my playing has improved since those recordings. Next year i'm heading out to KIT in LA and I want to be ready to compete there. Most of the players there have been playing for years longer than I have. I have only been playing for three years but I have worked my *** off and I think it shows. haha... But I think we can both agree that i'm no Keith Emerson.

I have an improv recording that is recent-ish. I'll have to upload it though, give me a few minutes.

You're a very good player, it's good to see. I can tell instantly you're a Dream Theatre fan. I would be curious to see you play something a little more... umm.. outside that box. There are tons of Rudess copy cats out there and i've seen that style done a lot. That doesn't defeat the fact that you're a great player though! Keep up the good work, regardless of what style you choose.

Thanks a lot man, it's nice to hear. And yes, i'm working my way out of this box, slowly but surely.

How long have you been playing? I see a lot of classical technique in your playing. I have no technique at all, so I admire someone who does.

Yet another compliment!

I've been playing for eight years, and you?

Three years this October. I'll hopefully upload something of me just "going off" on a tangent so to say. I play a lot like Emerson, which i'm sure you'll notice.
