My buddy and I want to play a few games of starcraft. He has his laptop at my place and we are both hooked up to my router. When either of us try to make a game and the other joins, it says "unable to join game". I'm guessing that's because we are both on the same IP, or along the lines, but I've gotten it to work for other games. Any help is appreciated.

Do you both have the same version of Starcraft? (version can be verfified at the bottom of the SC main screen)
Do you use a unique CD-key each?
Have you tried a direct IP connection? (If you're in one local net, you both must have different IP adresses for that LAN)

Version updates when logging onto blizzard, and I'm not interested in a direct connections, I want to be on B-Net. The cd-kay is also different.
It has something to do with routers and firewall bull****.
Keep trying. :D

Have you forwarded the right ports to the right computer? (Don't ask me what ports that are though, I don't remember which one's those were. it's somewhere on the Blizzard/Battle.net page)
