..Here is Morse!!! A somewhat local band from Stockton, and boy what an amazing band they are. Extremely professional for not being that big of a band. I was a little hesitant to make a thread about that at first, but they came to Turlock (where i live) last night and their live show just totally blew me away. Small place, small crowd, huge band. A nice blend of Deftones atmosphere and A Perfect Circle's aggression and sheer beauty, the live show is something to remember. Alls i can offer right now with their music is http://www.myspace.com/morse one of their new songs, but theyre contacting me about demos and things in case you guys want a further listen.
Ted Swearingen - Vocals (Some nice Morrissey-Maynard influence)
Mat Woods - Lead Guitar (dare i say the new-age Stephen Carpenter?)
Anne Cancilla - Rhythm Guitar (chick guitarist..score!)
Ian McLachlan - Bass (the most energy ive seen in a bassist)
Brian Breneman - Drums (with only like a 4piece kit this guy was amazing!)
Well i hope you all enjoy! if any of you live in the Stockton-California area you could probably get them to do a show near you. (And no, it isn't my band)

Glad you enjoyed it =] if you could picture a live show, wow man. Yeah i realize it's against the rules for the R&M forum but i thought these guys really deserved a chance, and looking through the audio arena forum 3/4 of the threads arent getting more than 10-15 replys =[.

That was great!.. And I was afraid they were copying Dredg or something like that, but they completely had their own sound..
The drums sound like they were recorded in a can though

The music is pretty tight, I definately here the Dredg influence... the guitar sounds a hell of a lot like the song "Bug Eyes." I thought the singing was generally on key, but the melody's were boring and after a while I wasn't really into the music anymore because of it.

yeah i too could really see the influence there, but still i actually listened to the whole song, and trust me thats good. So few bands here i can actually listen to a whole song but i enjoyed yours. Would like to see some more songs so i know that it isnt just like one good hit, and the others suck. Keep it up.
I liked the sound, but not the song, if you get me.
They sound like the kind of band I'd hang around to listen to becasue the NEXT song might be awesome, but that didnt really pull me in.

I wish it was my band :( but theyre from my local music area and thought they really deserved some recognition. If enough people reply ill send this over to them, a little confidence boost. Trust me their whole set is golden, and im talkin to them to see when they can send me a demo i can put on here, for all like 3 of you that want it.

Sorry for the giant bump, but Morse just got a new recording up and it's even better than the last, in my opinion. Just thought I'd share the amazingness with you all.
