I'm not sure if this is the right spot to post, but I'm looking for a program where you can punch in notes/tabs, and the program can simulate what it will sound like. Hard to explain, but something that can simulate different instruments while reading your keys.

Guitar pro or Power Tab work too, just not to as much an extent. Finale is another program you could use.

Free Powertab download here (http://www.simtel.net/product.download.mirrors.php?id=17736 ).
I use it, I like it, it's freeware. It's good. :thumb:

The problem with GP and PT is that they only let you input tab, not notation... but they're still good programs all the same.
Another one is Sibelius. This is used in a lot of tertiary institutions and other forms of higher-end education, so it's pretty good.
You can get the demo and more information from http://www.sibelius.com
