My band is doing a show the first of september, and we are still thinking about the songs we`ll play. We`re playing for kids about 12-13 years old. What do you think about those songs

- Summer of ` 69 bryan adams
- I`d love to change the world Ten years after
- Wonderwall oasis
- Time of your life Green day
-Lady Madonna Beatles
- Rocky Racoon Beatles
- You ain`t seen nothing yet BTO
- The scientist Coldplay
- Sitting, waiting, wishing Jack Johnson
- san fransisco bay blues eric clapton
- hit the road jack (this is more a big jam with that very popular pattern)

... and some of our songs.

Well I don't know the kids you are playing for, but maybe try to get in some poppier tunes? MTV-type stuff. Not as good of music, but playing to your audience is important.

yeah I know but, there are also adults and also, in show, most of time, even if you don`t "love" the song but it is well-performed it can be good ... I hope that young teenagers still feel that way... I guess not...

dont play pop just because your audience wants to hear it i mean 40% of my audience are emos do i play emo music no because im not in an emo band stick to what your band plays not to what your audience wants well thats my opinion

Well you don't have to lower your musical standards too much, but if people don't know the covers you are playing they probably won't be interested. Don't stop playing your current songs, they are all very good, and the adults will like them.
I am just rambling now. Do whatever you want. Just try to make sure that the songs are classic enough people will know them.
