rate my drum tone

k so im a guitarist that recently bought a cheap percussion plus drum set along with sabin B8 cybals and a Pacific double bass pedal for like 300 bucks... I bought it cause im interested in learning how to record drums and make them sound good.. this is a the drum track out of a song that i made... basically just tell me what you think of the tone and how it coul be improved... thanks

well it's obvious that quality drum recordings come from quality instruments and equipment (drums,cymbals,mics etc) But I'd say a change of heads on all drums would help a bit. your snare sounds alright but it sounds very one dimensional, if you have any tape or crap on it any of the drum heads, take it off and let them ring, you'd be surprised how some decent drumheads and a good tuning will improve your tone. As for the cymbals there are no real tricks to getting them to sound better besides buying better cymbals
