Here's my song called Free, it was inspired by the Love by John Lennon. It's an acoustic song, with a good melody (I think). I'd like to hear what other people think though. So here's the link;

If that's you singing while playing, i'm impressed. there are a couple of kinks in your voice but you have a good voice. it's not easy to sing and play. your voice and the guitar blend well together but the recording quality sucks. i don't know what your using to record so i cant make many suggestions, ithink you should back away from the mic cuz your voice sounds really distorteed when you go up. the guitar could be lowered just a little bit cuz i can hear its a little distorted.

Thanks I appreciate that, but then again who doesn't appreciate there singing being complimented. Yes that is me singing and playing. But I think I cheated, cause the singing follows the guitar so it's easier to do both. The recording quality does suck because it is just an ordinary computer microphone. Once I get a job I will look into getting a good digital recorder. Could you recomend any good and cheap ones?

I am not familiar with digital recorders much but if that's what you want ask your local music store what the differences are between computer recording and digital workstation recording. you can get an mbox with software already in it for about $350. if you learn how to use it it will work out fine. i plan to get one of these soon once i get the money. it comes with 2 mic inputs/regular jack inputs. good quality. definetly look around for the best gear. http://guitarcenter.com/buyersguide/ click on recording to your left and then click buyers guide pages.
