I'm whenever I scream i tend to have a high-pitched voice and i tend to sound like Alexi from Children of Bodom...but what i'm going for is like say Benjamin Burnley from Breaking Benjamin....or Pete Loefler from Chevelle ummm and like Chris Cornell at the end of the song "Shadow on the Sun" by Audioslave....things like that

Like... a low one? All I can say is I can scream low but not high... just open your throat a lot. When I scream low, I sometimes tend to pull my adam's apple down and in a bit, so... you could try that or something.

I'm not that experienced with screaming, but you can try that. Also, you could try getting the rasp lower in the throat. Again, I'm not the best person to take advice from, but you can at least try it.

okay, people always try to change their singing voice to emulate another singer and the fact is you can change your voice, just like you do immatations of people, but it wont be your natural real tone and it will basically make you sound like **** once you start talking on the mic or your voice might change mid through a sound. so i suggest keeping your voice and if your scream isnt what you want then you can try growls, but really i dont think you can stray too far from your natural tone, its just how your voice box is made.

any experts on this feel free to correct

Thats pretty much true. I mean its actually a drag to see so many people say they want to scream like blah blah. Just learn to scream and who knows, you could create the tone that your system is supposed to make and maybe others might want to emulate you. Most of the time when you record youre not gonna sound like the person you wanted anyways. So get over it, get real, and be yourself. I emulate only as a means of training, to give me a reason to reach and keep going to get something that I can't currently get. Its fun to sing along with bands in the car, so it takes the work out of it. But as far as my own work goes, I dont want to sound like anyone else.

Fender all of those are pretty much the same type of scream. Its all about isolation and being able to hold that note. Try to sing it without the rasp. Can you get good tone and control?
