Last Time I checked It was possible to have more than one guitar so i can have a Les Paul and a Strat my name just says FenderStrat_dude bcuz at the time i had only a strat

I couldve sworn he used Dean Markley and Hetfield used the ernie balls. If you go to the dean markley site, hes there. :thumb:

actually he uses an actual gibson too, but yeah, the ESP version is crap, horrible feel to it

Oh, OK. I see what you're trying to say. Then it'd be "Ihr habt die Macht." Which literally translates to "You all have the Power." You can replace "Du hast" for "Ihr habt" to make it informal "You have," or "Sie haben" to make it a more formal "You have," if you didn't want to make it a plural you. And I apologize for butchering your language any German-speakers out there, if I did.

The strings he used are Ernie Ball "Skinny top, Heavy Bottom"

I use to use those before I switched to 10-60.

The only problem with what you said is that, that would be what you would do if you were going for the most literal translation. Any german speaker who would see my avatar could easily deduce what I'm saying with no trouble.


It'd be about the same as someone saying:

From whence did you leave to get here?

And someone else saying

What time did you leave to get here?

Really sorry for the bump, but...

In response to JoshIsNumber3, the only problem that I was really having was that you spelled "Ihr" as "Ire," which would be the same as saying something like "Yoo all have the power." It's more a spelling mistake than grammer. If you wanted it to be as informal as you seem to, it would be either "Ihr habt" or "Du hast." Just curious, but do you speak or take classes in German? And if so, for how long?

Oh, and to try to make something actually useful come out of this post, anyone who has questions like this, just use google first for a simple search like I did in the 2nd post on here, and if you don't get any decent results then we (most likely) won't mock you for coming here to ask your question. Just some friendly advice :).

I don't know German in the least. My friend Tobias is from Berlin and he had copies of tapes he used to have when he was a child, they had English subtitles on the bottom. So whenever Captain Planet said, THE POWER IS YOURS! He said what was in my user title. I'm a fairly proficient speller, so I just spelled it how I thought it would be spelled, not knowing how close it was.

you should buy ernie ball beefy slinky for the 4,5 and 6 string and ernie ball power slinkey for the 1,2,3. i play both lead and rythm so i get heavy lower sounds and easily bendable highs

I think we already clarified that he uses Ernie Balls, but only after we consulted a reliable search engine and the Metallica encyclopedia, and a couple of fansites. Not that it matters.
