Simple answer: Don't ask stupid questions

If someone bumps a thread and I don't notice it's a thread bump without checking the date, I'll usually let it go. But more often then not it's usually a complete retard who bumps a crap thread to say something really stupid.

Hello. I would like to do an FA but am not sure of the requirements. Does the band have to be immensely popular in the Punk forum or otherwise? Are there requirements or restrictions on length and content? Do I need approval from a Punk mod to post it? Also does it need to be "stickied" or should I just put it up?

We don't do FAs here. We do Band profiles, which are like FA but aren't stickied and their is no line to wait to do one. The band has to be around more than 5 years and/or be well known generally. Also, take a look in the rules thread for previously done band profiles, and if it has been done, you can't do one, unless the profile is really old, since the older ones tended to be shorter.

Whatever thread was closed, is not important. The fact is that if "intelligent discussion," as cheeser put it, is going on, and the thread is staying on topic, then it should not be closed.

You also banned Shtein for a day when he said "Nick ban yourself for killing my thread you big meanie." As well as (I'm pretty sure) Dustin/Forest_fire/whatever his name is for saying "Nick, you're not funny at all. You're just being an annoying a'sshole now." To which you responded "lolol your a fag lolol." Later he said "Nick has taken a superior tone in almost every post now. Finally, the most blatant misuse of moderating power of all (if this was why the 24 hour ban was inflicted) was when SkaBandit posted "Silly Nick." in the Close-Gate Thread. WTF?

And if I searched the Close-Gate and P/S/Q threads well instead of skimming them, I bet I could come up with more, like "You deserved it lolol. You fine african american gentlemenlipped large bundle of sticks lolol" and "Nazi mods nazi mods f'uck off... lololololol I'm cleaver!" and "ban0r0z 4 spam0r0z lolz."

Personally I don't think you should be using your moderating power to ban everybody who speaks against you for 24 hours. If somebody came up with a case for de-modding you and managed to find this little post, then I'm sure they'd win their case.
