I'm into a lot of solo albums from great hip hop producers right now, like J Dilla and Madlib. Soon I'm gonna try to get Beat Konducta Vol 1-2, the Jackson Conti album, Oh No - Dr. No's Oxperiment, and maybe Flying Lotus - L.A. Any other good producers I should check out?

Travel away to a common ground as I take you airborne with respect. I Bow before I send you this knowledge that makes you fly without a drink. Read more to keep your heads from disease get ready to flap your wings for departure. Kill that noise you put out and prepare for the arrival of the books I wrote with feathers. Count peddles that you pluck down to know which life is and what lives. Let me cook up a recipe and write words similar to forgiveness. Boil two eggs and knock out all the messages out the door. Count the number of sins and bottle them up. Stew up some math soup without plastic to close the top of the bowl. In the near future I’ll add soup cans with no hesitation. Noodles on my breath recycle to go far. On the top of your slow odd head I see trash. Even a mountain can inhale a train across the track getting away. The fresh new wheel threw away the square that peaked with a problem. Snow fell in the air steer clear from the child’s ball winter spin the water catch your seed from falling off the boat. Freeze the water before evaporation. This method leaves ice to grow at the speed of a snail. Whether a free man works for green to make captain is his own business. As a father release not the leader from the tree. Follow the bark you hear son jump rope to relieve stress. Tie your exercise with the speaking of this holy chapter. Another ghost shouted a word in the suite. Play out the sweet face again. The white candy caused a scar when I began reading the dictionary. The subject and noun trick battled my teeth in the end. Evil will fool your last action with a smile. Laugh and giggle are verbs in this sentence competition.

Just saw Dj Premier vs Pete Rock at Circa in Toronto, this is the 2nd time these 2 went head to head since LA a year or so ago.
I'm not a huge hip-hop aficionado but I honestly don't think I will ever see a better hip hop show.
Favourite cut had to have been Royce 5'9's "Boom", both of them killed it.

Never heard of this guy... checked out some samples, and it's not bad. Thanks... really heavily Aesop influenced and doesn't have the typical british "wot wot" hiphop vibe.
On another note, the new Heltah Skeltah is disappointing :(
The new Murs album is good.
Sweet, I just brought it home from the station to review it.
It drags on a bit for the last 3 or 4 songs, but the rest is pretty much gold. I'd say it's easily his best solo effort without 9th Wonder, although I don't think that means that much.

haha funny you mention hiphopdx. its a good site , Shake (aka m.S) is a buddie of mine hes a really cool dude , hiphopdx is a good place to find out about new artists (hip-hop) and its good for the occassional free download
i use alota things to find new artists mostly i just know what im looking for (iv been a fan of u.g. hip-hop since like co-flow funcrusher (the days when mainstream and u.g. really shifted and became two different genres) late 90s... so i have the ear to the know , i also used to work for goodvibe recordings.. so i still get some inner source news
if you want some recommendations feel free to ask... i got a great u.g. hip-hop collection... and ya that new BSBD & Jean is very good.. i suggest picking it up jean is a beast and blue skys production is always fantastic.. "razah's ladder" is another good BSBD project
kingsoby1
10-18-2008, 04:00 PM
yeah, i welcome pretty much every recommendation... got into hiphop a ton over the past year or two and have been trying to beef up the sputnik hiphop reviews section. Check some of my ratings on the review site... really into progressive production styles (el-p, madlib, bsbd) and i'm more of a beats guy than mc. of course, a bad mc can def ruin it for me. i've heard a majority of the popular ug stuff (co-flow rocks btw).
razah's ladder is really tight, but ive been really diggin on Gutta - "Heads Will Roll" lately. BSBD produced everything but the first track, and all of their beats are killer... too bad it's not cohesive in the slightest. it's as if bsbd made all the beats then threw them at gutta and said "peace".
this bsbd and grae is solid so far... although i read somewhere that grae is really pissed off about it (since it's a remix of jeanius). grae's pretty much the only femme rapper that's okay imo.
