Are horrible. They are the major downfall of all EA sports games. I get so sick of them. ESPN sports games, which were far superior in many aspects, also let you customize your own soundtracks, which was great. But with EA, you can't do that at all. You just get sick of the horrible songs they have on the soundtracks. This years Madden soundtrack is:
Artist / Song Title
Avenged / Sevenfold Bat Country
Bullet For My Valentine / 4 Words (To Choke Upon)
Bump J / Move Around
Chamillionaire / Hate In Ya Eyes
Disturbed / Ten Thousand
Fall Out Boy / Dance, Dance
Finch / Ink
Foo Fighters / No Way Back
Funeral For A Friend / Streetcar
Godsmack / Bring it On
Hot Hot Heat / Pickin' It Up
Memphis Bleek / Like That
Nine Black Alps / Cosmopolitan
Papoose / Born To Win
Rev Run / Mind On The Road
Sam Scarfo / Tear 'Em Up
Slim Thug / Get It Started
Spider Loc / When I Get Angry
Stat Quo / Rock Da Party
Tech N9ne / The Beast
The All-American Rejects / Night Drive
Horrible.

I guess it all depends what your into. IMO, that soundtrack is decent. I like a few of the songs, including:
Avenged Sevenfold - Bat Country
Disturbed - Ten Thousand
Fall Out Boy - Dance, Dance
Finch - Ink
Foo Fighters - No Way Back
Funeral For A Friend - Streetcar
Godsmack - Bring it On
The All-American Rejects - Night Drive
It would be cool to be able to customize your own soundtrack on EA games though.

You can customize your own soundtracks in some EA games, Madden 2005 on Xbox for example.

Don't get me wrong I enjoy some of the bands on there too. But you get sick of the same song...over...and over...and over. I actually turned on the fight songs on NCAA 06 instead of the soundtrack.

I definately agree with that. The songs get boring after a while.

I have PS2, so I can't customize it, which makes it worse. :upset:

Yeah I absolutely agree with that. I have quite of few EA sports games (well, by my standards. I think 6 or 7 of the 9 games I own are EA sports), and holy Christ you get sick of them. I just turn the music volume down though.

EA games in general are horrible in pretty much every aspect, but I agree that the music on their sports games is particularly bad.

Most of the latest EA Sports games have customizable soundtracks on the Xbox, and the PC if you know how. If you don't mind the soundtrack provided, and you can create your own customizable soundtracks on the xbox version of Madden 2006, then why is EA Sports to blame? EA Sports provide customizable soundtracks on platforms that support it, just like other developers. I'm failing to see how their soundtracks suck when you don't mind the songs, and you can create your own soundtracks.

Driving with Slash.
Slash will be composing music for the latest EA sports NASCAR computer game. Reportedly this won't involve any vocals - just instrumental pieces.
Its in The magazine, page 22 in the "news in Brief" part if you wanna have a look.

I said I don't mind some of the bands. But I usually listen to more than one song by each artist. I just get sick of that one song over and over. And even still, its not a good soundtrack for football.

In NCAA 06 there are about two songs I like, so I just switch it back to the college fight songs.
