It's because being "uncool" is cool now.
Everyone I know is quoting the movie to the point where someone used the 1% line on me and I respond "Do you think your napoleon dynamite? Because you not, you could be your own person".

I mean.....the only thing I truly laughed at in this movie was the part when he started dragging the action figure outside the bus. That was great.

there are only a couple funny parts to the movie ...my fav. would have to be when napoliean gets a steak to the face and his galsses fall off and than his friend just ditches him

I thought that the movie was pretty hilarious at parts, but by selling all those products and crap about the movie is just retarded, honestly, the the hell do people need t-shirts based off of scenes and quotes from movies, although this one I liked

I have a friend that talks like napoleon, exept he isnt impersonating him, he talks that that all the time, this kid at my school had a 'fro, so for a while he got those glasses, and did a comb over and donned some snow-boots, and looked like a retard

That and when they shot the cow in front of the bus full of little kids were the only somewhat funny parts. The rest sucked.

I hated the majority of hte movie, honestly it doesnt even have much of a plot, if it has one at all. The only parts I fond funny were the "rex-kwan do" scene and the "door bell" scene. Oh and that steak part was hilarious.

I saw practically the day it came out, and I thought it was funny. Some parts where definitely lacking, but others made up for it. What killed it for me was when I couldn't go one day without seeing a "Vote For Pedro" t-shirt or hearing "You're such a idiot, gosh!"

I watched the movie twice, in hopes it would be better the 2nd time around. I watched it when it came out, no less.

The only funny part was when the old man shoots the cow and all the children start screaming. I crack up, but the rest of it was quite...Blah.

yeah, and also like someone said earlier, when his uncle takes the other dudes steak and chucks it at napoleon. Thats it.

What killed it for me was that everyone had to go around using those stupid sayings all the damned time. Like the past year in our school election thingy, only 1 candidate out of the 10 or so didnt have napoleon dynamite crap in their running campaign. Also those stupid shirts........

I watched that movie again after not seeing it for like 4 months, and I still hate it. We got Napoleon Dynamite paraphenilia (sp?) at my workplace. And I have to put up with 15 year old girls coming and yelling "OMG, Look at this Liger sweatband!!" and "OMG SWEET SKILLS!!"
