Daily Doubles are in Jeopardy!, my friend.

We (in MA) always called them two-a-days.

Anybody who complains about conditioning is missing the point.

It's how you take a bunch of flabby lazy suburban kids and turn them into a team.

so im a sophmore in high school and basically everyone i know tells me i should play football. i played last year but halfway through the season i didnt like it. i hated the games and i didnt even want to go to practice. but the first 2 or 3 weeks of football was fun. i mean, i really didnt have a bunch of fun but i thought it was alright. i liked being around all my friends, but the practices and everything about it i just didnt like. i had hardly any enthusiasm about it and in the last few practices i did horrible because i wanted to quit so bad.

but this year i think that it might be fun to play but then I KNOW it will get boring just as it did last year, i honestly dont want to quit halfway through the season to make everyone think im a quitter.

but now, the first day of football just went by and i got a call from a friend saying since im not there to play on the line, we had to get our running back from last year to play in my spot. a coach also called me and said
"i just wanted to let you know your missed. im not encouraging you to play, its totally your decision, but i wanted to let you know that your missed"....i have no clue what to do, can some one help me here? thanks alot...

If you don't enjoy playing, why would you do it?

thanks guys. last year i really disliked it halfway through the season but i didnt quit because i knew the team needed me. thats way i wouldnt want to do that this year because i know i would end up quitting and i would basically be giving them something, then telling them "you know what, i dont think i want to play anymore". it would be like hell for them trying to adjust halfway through the season, i think it would be better this way...?

I could understand not enjoying the practices....but not even enjoying the games? If its not fun for you, dont play.

Don't play if you don't want to. Trust me man, I know, I hate practice with every bone in my body, and only certain games now do I enjoy myself. If I had the choice I wouldn't, but my parents make me play. So don't play if you don't want to.
