Old game Battlefield 1942??

I know the new battlefield 2 is out,But im pretty sure It cant "or it will run crappy" untill I get a new grfx card.But im not gonna update till xmas time,So my question is if I install my BF 1942 will there be online games going on,,or will there be hardly no people?
I know its a oldy,but it was a great game,I feel the need to drop soem bombs!

I have a geforce 4 64mb,I have 512 ram,and its 2.0mhz
Think If I just get a betetr grfx card I will be ok for bf2?
Also can anyone recomend one for fairly cheap,I cant afford $300-$500 card,maybe something under $200?

I just got this game yesterday, i'd never even heard of it before. Fun game but I can only use the single player because I'm live on res and I don't think anyone else in the LAN plays it.

Yea there are plenty of games going on,,I forgot how fun it was :)
But I went and downloaded all the newest stuff,But when I join games it says wrong version,what is the latest version?.But I still can get in a few games
