Okay, I discovered this video by accident, but this guy is good. okay, so his slapping is a bit pants, but his fingerstyle playing is very good. Enjoy...

im digging it. I don't mind his slapping, i mean he was just doing a generic kind of slap pop thing, but it seemed ok. The fingerplaying was very cool, classical like.

yeah, his slapping was a snooze fest, but his fingerstyle is ace, with all those hammer ons and trills.

meh is what comes to mind really.. I found his playing so boring and unimaginative and REPETITIVE!! Not impressed tbh.

His tone was horrible too.. and that neon pickguard... :upset:

He's ok, he just lacks groove. He has the knowledge, he just doesn't know how to use it. Like I was talking to Almighty about, Feel+Knowledge=GOOD

Yeah, he was sloppy and was getting so much buzzing. And that pickguard is disgusting!

He also made me cringe when he did some random taps..

Yea, I wanted to punch him when he did those tapped harmonics. It would have been fine if he did one, but he did all the ones he knew. That made me mad. Like I said, knowing is nothing if you don't have feeling.

the first piece he plays cool. I dont know if he is a pro or not, and sloppy and tasteless or whatever, its head and sholders above anything Ive heard written by anyone on these boards.

I for one enjoyed it, The Last Autumn was really nice. The rest of it wasn't "impressive" or anything, but it was still really cool to watch. There was buzz and stuff, but so what? My only complaint was his "E" string seemed a bit too low for what he was playing.
Thanks for sharing the video Chris K.

I was really impressed with the finger style... as for the slappings tuff I thought it was alright, nothing really crazy but I'm assuming that he is a metal bassist and doesn't use it much anyway.

As for the bass, am I the only one who though it actually looked good?

First riff was cool

He wasnt that bad, the first stuff was ok, kinda indian/medieval sounding. the second riff made me laugh coz it was baaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaad. and the slapping i thought was actually alright, he had a good little riff goin on i thought. his tapping was also sickly. overall about a 5 outa 10 lol

Indian sounding?

It was definatly more classical than Indian...

it was nice to see him at the beginning, but it was a bit boring later on. His slapping wasn't advanced but it was ok. the tapped harmonics were very out of place but the thing I disliked most is; the guy is in his late thirties and he keeps making fingersigns ( ) at the camera

Haven't finished the video yet, but so far:

The beggining was meh, I really liked the other part (the "classical" bit).

His tone is a bit annoying... It seems to be the strings.

Pretty cool i thought, i liked the first bit. Probably the most disgusting guitar i have come across though. Also noticed he bites his finger nails. ~_~

I'd actually put him at late twenties or so. Remember, a lot of fat people look older than they are. Not trying to be a douche or anything, it's the truth...

It's funny because that's how I would picture myself to be in ten years; playing mildly entertaining bass lines and throwing the horns every five minutes.

he should have just played his classical stuff. You can tell he's a guitarist as well, his arpeggios are great!

i found this video more funny than anything. yeah the horns were annoying, the bass sounds terrible, might as well have been a squier, but they sound better than that. The tone was terrible, the random tapping was annoying and you could barely hear it. When he did the tapping he kept pulling stupid faces that made me turn it off in the end as it bugged me

He has been playing for 24 years???? It says he started when he was 12 so if he was born in 1969 he started playing in 1981.

Well for 24 years of playing I found that not to be to impressive, the fret buzz was also annoying.

Not trying to give a lecture here but;

I also admit I am IGNORANT, I was somewhat surprised to see that a lot of these groups were in Pakistan. The media shows us certain images of others that stick in my head and I would not expect to see young Pakistan kids playing rock music on flying V guitars.

Not to go off on a rant here but recent events depict people from some Mid East countrys far different than I see on this website, on this website I see a lot of similarites with these kids and myself.

The media can act as a great divider...
