i have never played halo or halo 2...and everybodys (not just here) is like OMG that game is awsome

so my question is whats the differance between that and anyother FPS..some of my friends also say red faction 2 is better

The multiplayer is extremely fun. The maps are well designed, the movements are great, the weapons are great, etc. It's just one of the best multiplayer games, ever. It's as simple as that.

You have to play it with a group of 15 friends and you'll know exactly what the big deal is.

Red Faction 2 pales in comparison to Halo 2, I've played it, and I was very disappointed.

The actual game itself is just average i'd say. A decent somewhat supsenseful story, but nothing amazing. The multiplayer is the reason everybody loves.

I've never been to big on it. I play it at friends house once in a while, doesn't seem as great as everyone makes it out to be.

Single Player is average stuff. I never got into multiplayer, but it's your basic TMDM and if the game just follows the simple gameplay it will always be good.

I never understood the appeal of Halo or Halo 2. They're both very generic compared to PC shooters. I guess console gamers aren't used to a decent first person shooter (since Golden Eye, heh).

Half Life 2 and Unreal 2k4 are the only FPS games anyone really needs to ever buy at the moment. Especially since Unreal has the excellent (and free) Halo mod :)

I agree with Eggo. But for console, it's hard to beat the fun of Halo/Halo 2's multiplayer. SOCOM II and Battlefield 1942 are the only two that rival it, in my opinion. I do prefer SOCOM II over Halo 2.

I never cared for Halo. Granted, I was playing the first Halo on single player. The action was slow, the weapons uninspired, and the gameplay oh so boring. I've been told I need to try multiplayer to get the full feel, but I'm not buying an Xbox for one game.

I never really got into Halo or its sequel. I think of the X-Box as a computer you don't really need.

Maybe I'm a purist, but I can't stand playing an FPS on a console. The XBox is no exception. The controls are great for a sports game, but are not at all conducive towards an FPS. They're awkward and unwieldy
