Hey all, my Nanna recently got moved into a nursing home, and she gave me permission to take it from her house and granted me possession of it.

Now, my mum says that if I had it in a room as small as mine (small bedroom size) it will "sound bad".

Does room size affect the sound? Or is my mum making that up because she doesn't want it in my room?

Thanks, Gavin.

The small space might give it a bit of an "ambient" sound but unless you want it for recording it really is no problem, it deffinatley wont sound awful. Yes i dont think your mum wants you to have it, shame really.

Your mum doesn't want you to have it. It won't sound as good as it should, but your mum not wanting you to have it is the main reason.

Why does the piano have to go in your room anyway?

Because if it is anywhere else, I will only get <1 hour per night to play piano.

Where my piano is now, I only ever get to play it when no-one is home.
