View Full Version : So I want to lose weight

Okay well basically I have been self concious ever since I was like 7. Right now I am 14, 5'9 and 142.5 lbs. I don't know if I would call myself overweight but my stomache feels... like a barrel lol. Anyways, Im going to try to push myself to lose some weight before the end of the summer. Next week I am starting to work for my dad in which I would basically just be at this construction of a house and take out trash and whatever(Somewhat of a physical workout, I started today actually). I will be working Monday-Fridays from 9-1 pm. I also go to the gym on Tuesdays from 4:30-5 and on Thursdays from 5-6 in which i have a personal trainer. Other than that I do not have any planned physical activity. So basically, tomorrow I want to go over to the grocery store and pickup a bunch of food that is healthy and that is edible. All the food around this house is horrible for you. Does anyone have any help/information on what foods I can eat and what exercises I could do to trim down a few pounds?(Besides put down the fork, although by saying this I am sure someone will say it for the hell of it)

Eat a good, large protein-rich breakfast. The other meals of the day are far less important.

Also, remember that if you're not elevating your heartrate to at least 160 bpm for 30 minutes about three days a week, you're most likely not going to get anywhere.

What's with all the young, skinny kids wanting to lose weight? 5'9 and 142 pounds is not overweight by ANY stretch.

Dude your 5 9 and 142? That is not overweight man. You actually should want to gain weight. Muscle weight.

Try not eat aload of complex carbs like Bread, Rice and Potatoes.

I don't want to lose weight for the sake of losing weight, I just want to work off this minor gut I've got going on. (If you've seen Chuck Liddell from Xtreme Fighting Championships, it's kind of like that, but maybe not as big looking as his, yet you can still see his abs through it)

Im 17, 5'11 and weight a whopping 165. I sorta have abs, and im really hungry. Im going to chow the same and work out more.

try and run alot it helps

and if you play sports run everyday.

and only eat in the beginning of the day .......................and dont eat past 7:30 pm

Dude, I'm the same age and height as you. The last thing you need is to lose weight, but if you want to, swim a ton, and run your *** off.

Watch your carbs too.

You don't look like you way that much. But 6'1 is pretty tall I suppose.. (compared to me, that is)

I'm 17, 5'7 and 165lbs... I could stand to lose a bit of weight. :p

I'm 13 5'8 and about 13-14 stone. I don't think I need to lose weight (though most other people think I do).
