Resident Evil Zero and Resident Evil

I was at Eb Games earlier today and I saw a Resident Evil Zero and #1 in a box set and I was thinking on buying it but, my friend said I should rent them first before I buy them incase i don't like them. I have played Resident Evil 4(beat it) and I loved it. I'm still not sure whether or not I should buy them without renting first. Oh and if it matters the two of them together was $30 canadian.

I would reccomend it. Both great games.....however the first resident evil got alot harder with its transformation to the gamecube.

I hate them, and wouldn't even spend $5 for the box set. They're nothing like RE4 and an aquired taste, so I'd definitely play them before buying them.

Just buy it, thats a great price. I would go and play Resident Evil for Gamecube but its too hard, I sometimes get killed by the first zombie....I only have a knife!

I only got to play Resident Evil, but from what ive seen it looks amazing, better than one the playstation one, which was on of my favourite games.

I enjoyed Resident Evil 0 alot as well.

Both games are great and worth the money, but they're nothing like RE4.
Less action, more shock moments. I'd recommend them for those who prefer horror over trigger action.

You should deffinately buy the set. I don't know about 0 but RE1 is amazing.

I found that RE:0 wasnt too challenging. The remake however, is a different story.

i liked the way you had a limit of ammo - it made the game, a survival game (which RE is all about. not just blowing heads off zombies).

Well, I'm gonig to buy the boxset in a week or so and I'm going to start playing Resident Evil 4 tomorrow.

yeah, go for it, both great games,although zero is quite short, and the endings to both games suck. IMO the graphics in the first two were better than in Re 4. They're scarier too..

Those are the reasons why the old games are better than RE4. They gave the games atmosphere and made them more like a zombie film. It always scarier when there is no way of knowing whats around the corner.

I haven't played RE0. I might buy it, but I've heard it is a lot harder because you are looking out for someone else to. Which is better between the two?

I don't know....the first time I was in a house on that game and all of a sudden windows start getting busted in and they keep trying to rip the door off......scared the **** out of me.

I said the 4th one wasn't scary. The remake is **** creepy. I always pray when I walk over a zombie, it won't get up. Or when I walk down a hall, the windows won't break. Then they usually do :upset:

Do it. It's worth it. I just beat the first resident evil on gamecube today.

dude you don't evan have to kill the first zombie just run straight back into the dinning room when the cut scene finishes and it will go to the scene with barry shooting it so dont evan bother tyring to kill it save ya ammo and evan if you got the knife you'll save ya health.

I have the remake, 0 and 4. I just got out of the mansion with the remake and it's an really creepy atmospheric game. When the dogs and zombies come crashing through the windows it's a garaunteed crap in the pants. I only played like 30 min of 0 but it seemed pretty sweet although the char switching was a little confusing. I almost beat 4 and it's a ****in amazing game..

So in conclusion, buy 'em.
