Crackdown on 'Fanboy' reviews

Some of the fanboy reviews on the site are getting ridiculous. From now on, all excessive reviews will be deleted.

It is one thing to like an album, and people who love albums are certainly not prohibited from reviewing them. But when you use phrases like "the man, the myth, the legend", "sheer musical genius," and "international glory," you are writing a commercial, not a balanced, thoughtful review.

I think fanboying has done this site's quality a good deal of damage aside from what's happening just on sputnik.

I would like to throw an idea into the ring again:

Mod search for 4+ star reviews. Would make it easier for Med and me to go through the complete archive to get the old fanboy reviews as well

Ah, fanboys :) I think you should also track-down fanboy comments like on something vague's Paranoid review. People voted it negative because he voted it 3.5 stars.

The first link isn't so bad, except for the fact that he bumped every Megadeth album in succession to say basically the same thing in each one.
