i wasnt sure where to post this cause it doesnt quite fit into any category but, i would like to know what record labels are out there that might be accessable for a local band, i live in Va but anything from maryland to SC should do. My band is finishing its professional demo and we would like to focus in on where to send our demos too. i already have a few clubs lined up (btw as a side question what is the procedure for booking a club gig) and i need some other ideas, of course ill try my luck with the big ones RR, nuclear blast, maybe sony? but i really need some focus. www.myspace.com/insanesolitude listen to this song and help me narrow down my search, thnx

As for club gigs....
There's no set rules. You could write to the club, including a demo, a short paragraph about your band, maybe a photo of your band playing for a large crowd :D- things to covince the club you'll bring in the punters. Or, you could go and meet the club owner, give him your demo, and talk to him/her (confidently, without sounding arrogant) about your band, what you do, how you've been doing, etc.
