So I finally got around to ripping/uploading this DVD...

I would reccomend watching it, even if you know a fair bit about Live Sound, as it has some little gems of info that you might not have thought about before.

There are several segments, totalling about 700 megabytes, but it's all split up into chapters so you don't have a mammoth download :)

If you can ignore the americanisms and cheesy lines (Definately!) then I'm sure everyone can benefit from watching this.

It's got it's own server, so there is no download limit.

1B: Setting Up (http://rcsmoto.org.uk/conf/LSR-1B-SettingUp.avi)

1C: Tuning (http://rcsmoto.org.uk/conf/LSR-1C-Tuning.avi)

1D: Micing (http://rcsmoto.org.uk/conf/LSR-1D-Miking.avi)

1E: Sound Check (http://rcsmoto.org.uk/conf/LSR-1E-Soundcheck.avi)

1F: Electrical (http://rcsmoto.org.uk/conf/LSR-1F-Electrical.avi)

1G: Mixing (http://rcsmoto.org.uk/conf/LSR-1G-Mixing.avi)

There is a section called 'Field Assignment' where they go and film a gig from beginning to end which is still uploading, I'll post the link when it's done.

Enjoy.

Does anyone else have problems with the video freezing, but the sound keeps going?

Nope, I've watched the first one and I'm styarting the second - it's very cheesy but seems good, americangothic, thanks for taking the time to rip it for your JS buddies.

Thank you indeed.. And damn.. This means I'm lacking a codec.. And I thought I had every obscure codec out there

Bah, it's sounding very cheesy. That sound engineer dude pisses me off.

Awesome - do you recon it will be any use to someone who knows practically nothing about this stuff (I've never really delved into this kinda thing)?

Yeh, it goes from the very beginning, and goes into some fairly deep detail which you could always rewind over untill you get it.

Dude, I got problems with the soundcheck video when it talks about 'Destructive intereference' and shows a pic of the snare mics. Anyone else get this?
