I have a pair of Behringer speakers and their inputs are around 1 inch in diameter, you plug the cable in and turn to lock it. I wonder if most other speakers are the same too? Because I'm going to a talent show and I'm gonna use my own mixer for the speakers. I don't have time to go check it yet.

you always need a range of adapters.
some speakers, have neutrik connecters (they're the lock in ones), some have jacks. Soem mixers have neutrik outputs, some jack outputs, some XLR outputs (but only generally for line level signals, and not speaker level)
Funny story.
I was setting up my college gig, and we brought some JBL monitors. Now, we had 4.
Two were active, and the other two were passive, and they were all from the same series, same model everything, except two were passive and two were active.
Now you would have thought it were a good idea to use the same connectors on each right? No, JBL in their infinate wisdom decided that the Link out on the Actives was going to be Speakon, and the input on the Passive to be XLR.
I had to make leads specifically for that gig, luckily my tutor had brought his tool box.
