Hey I have a question about drum set up for the cymbols. I have two crashes now and a ride cymbol now. I know where to put the two crash cymbols, but I am having trouble finding where the ride cymbol should be put. Thanks

well how many rack tom's do you have?

Yay for paint... very basic setup but....

the blue is drums, red cymbals
and Green is the ride.

If you have one rack tom try the top one, otherwise try the bottom

Otherwise just screw around till you find somewhere comfortable

Wherever it feels comfortable. When I have two rack toms, I have mine between my floor tom and second rack tom, slightly lower than the top rim of the rack top.

That picture is very illnino-ish, specially if you hang the two crashes  but the ride there will do fine, and yeah, put it on a boom stand. NB Some people prefer to have the ride where this guy put his right crash, so keep that in mind. If you put your ride in the green position it will have to be low.

http://www.illnino.com/shared/pictures/IllNino/Richmond-20.jpg Having two crashes exactly parallel like in your diagram makes me think of ill nino.. not really an insult, is it?
