View Full Version : Rolling Stone's 500 Greatest Albums Ever
This is a project the Sputnik regulars have been working on for some time now. The basic idea is to have a review of every album on Rolling Stone's Top 500 Albums of All Time list.
If you want to review one, feel free. Oh, and it'd be very helpful if you could post in this thread to let me or a mod know that this needs updating. :)
But please, add a link to your post where the review can be found.

I'm a big fat dirty liar.
OK, this is another update, I can do:
40 Greatest Hits, Hank Williams,
James Brown at the Appollo 1963,
Kick Out The Jams, The MC5,
This Year's Model, Elvis Costello,
Greatest Hits, Sly & The Family Stone, (I resent the fact that compilations are included  )
Legend, Bob Marley and the Wailers,
Parrallel Lines, Blondie.
I should have two or so up tommorow, I can't start now though, I'm absolutley drained :(
I don't see the problem with including compilations, personally.
I just think it's cheating a bit. I mean if the whole list was compilations it'd be a bit annoying.

What a terrible top 500. Alive by Kiss was about 300 places higher than Kid A. No way. It's so biased against anything new; so many of those albums are from the 70's. I don't think most of these albums deserve reviews.
