For the musical challenges held on these forums, I needed a program to create some music, and thusfar I only used my 16 track midi recorder on my yamaha keyboarsd. but I've decided to download guitar pro (full version)
and I want to create a song, but I find the tutorials to be confusing, and so I don't have any clue, how to make a song using that program.
so does anyone have a simple explaination on how to record a song, and how to get started?
thanks in advance

You don't record music onto it. You tab it out

Related question, sort of... same program.
My band is kinda split, me and the bassist live 2 hours away at Uni (college to some) and as we write songs we tab them out and send them back to the drummer and other guitarist back home.... so when we jam everyone knows the song, there is now wasing time learning songs.... but does anyone have a better way of doing this?
And we don't record and send back because the GP4 file is about 20kb, rather than 3-4 mb... And we don't have much recording stuff.

if you're a guitarist, or bassist, you simply use tab. there are specific tb numbers for different drum sounds that can be found on the "percussion" toolbar once you've made a percussion track (Track, add, percussion)
Other things, like time signature, dynamics, special barlines are across the left, and special sounds/effects (mostly guitar ones, likve vibrato, hammer ons, etc) are across the top.
