chaotic sound??

I need advice/information about how to add chaotic insanity to my music. I can write some f'ed up sounding riffs, but i know i could make it so much better if i had the knowledge behind the musical theory. Im sure i could use and benifit from anything you give me that is even remotley related to the subject. I think there may be some sort of jazz influence deep within the sound, but i could be wrong. either way, if there is jazz involved in, it then post what you know because this also interests me. Well first thing i'd say is don't actually make the music not fit together in attempt to sound choatic. It still need to go together. And for me some thing that make things sound chaotic to me are Fast tempo, Mutliple rythems going on at the same time, lots of different layers and sounds happening at the same time, could use some wierd time sigs, use clashing sounds. I hope that helped but i don't think it did really :( ah well i tried.

yeah polly rythemns...and modulate to simler keys... clashing chords as well...
