Mic amps

I was just wondring what u guys use for a mic amplifier. I just use an old guitar amp which isnt the best for vocals. What are the best kind of vocal amps?

Vocal amplifiers AND speakers (= combos) for live use? Use a PA, vocals are not meant to be run through an instrument amplifier, and although they will do fine in a keyboard amp, will damage a guitar amp.

If you mean for studio use, do not use an amp, use a PREamp, which converts the mic level signal to a line level signal.
