I don't know if this has been done, but does anyone here use or have used Rpg maker 2000, 2003 or xp?
if so discuss, and post links to games you've made or summin then...
I used to, quite a lot. Then I got fed up of making chipsets...it all went downhill from there!
The only worthwhile change in RM2k3 (as opposed to RM2K) was the use of other buttons.
In one of my games I had a fully working sin system...
the more you did bad things to npcs (you could interact in at least 10 different ways with every npc) the more respect you got from the evil god, who granted you his powers in battle. This also changed the way the story played (like if you had +500 evil alignment, you'd refrain from helping a lost boy in a cutscene...cue chain reaction) and how you looked (you got darker armour, basically, different colours)
Vice verca for good alignment.
It was good!
Then I got bored.

Where can you get this RPG Maker?
Is it shareware, purchase, or what?
Linkage to the website? Links to anything about it?
Is the coding easy to understand?
I am really interested... :)

I've only ever edited pre-made games, never created one from scratch. I'm not very good at creating chipsets, so I just steal other peoples. ^__^

Used RPG Maker 200, was completely obcessed with it for a long time. Downloaded RPG Maker 2k3, but never really got around to using it. Never heard of RPG Maker XP. It was really fun to screw around with. I never finished games, but it was really simple even for the most computer-illiterate person, very user-friendly. If you guys want to see what you can make with it if you put your mind to it, look up Final Fantasy Endless Nova on Google. Amazing, amazing game... Oh, and yeah, it's shareware, but it's really hard to find now because they shut it down on a bunch of websites. There was also an RPG Maker 95 as well.

I think you can get in on RMXP site, google that.
Its become increasingly difficult to find stuff for it, or especially places that have the actual maker... probably cos you're sposd to pay for it, i used to be really into the whole rpg maker thing, and a load of websites i used to go on for stuff to do with it have all closed down
But i do know that with the newest one RpgmakerXP you can make online games now to play against other people online

RMK2k3 (or RM2k, even) is quite a powerful utility for making games. I've used it a few times, but I have yet to really make a game.
http://www.rpg2knet.com has some awesome stuff (chipsets, games, etc.).

Go to the Event editor and right-click on a land tile-set and choose "Set Starting Party Position."

I'm downloading your YSI link of it, I've tried downloading it in the past but it has never worked on my computer.
I love RPG's though and have always wanted to mess around with making one, we'll see how it goes.
