Ok i'm p1ssed... I haven't bought a PC game in ages and i just bought this game yesterday for $40 b/c i got a new video card for my computer and when i got home to try to install this game i figured out some newer games now require u to have a DVD-Rom on ur computer to run it... since when did this happen! lol :upset: Welll anyways, now i can't return it.

Pity, tis a great game.

You should be able to pick up a DVD Rom for quite cheap. Just steer clear of the RW combo ones for games. And most games now come on DVD CDs, as their sizes are getting way too big for normal CDs

Ya it certainly is a pity... srry, but what does RW mean? Also how much r DVD drives, cause i just spent quite a lot of money for a video card and RAM.

Not sure on how much in the US/Can, but in the UK they're about £25 for a basic one.

And RW = Re-writable. A drive that can read disks and write to them, which causes conflicts with some games which have anti piracy technology built in

on www.ebuyer.com you can get DVD drives for about £15.

they're 52x speed (the fastest i believe) and just simply read the DVD's, no writing back onto them can be done. i've just ordered a DVD drive, i can't wait for it arrive.

This game is insanely good, though I find many people complain about the aiming.

Thats probably the people who have been playing to much Medal Of Honour and Call Of Duty.

Thats exactly why. I think those people are expecting to be able to single handidly "pwn" at this game.

It takes some getting used to, but so would have been the situation in WW2

Any word on a expansion/sequel?

The sequel is called Earned in Blood and is due out this winter.

Will that be a mere continuation of this company, but further into Belgium/Germany? Or is it from another point of view? I think it would be cool if it was from another group of guys, like some Russian soldiers in the Eastern front.

Well for starters, you will be playing from Hartock's perspective this time. It still takes place in the Normandy campaign before, during and after BIA:RTH30.

i really want to get this game, but i'm afraid the specs of my PC won't suffice.

AMD 2000+ (1.67ghz)
512mb DDR 2700
Radeon 9600
7200rpm HDD

have any of you guys here got a system with a similar/less playout than mine, if so how does it run? i can run Battlefield 2, Half Life 2 etc fine, just i heard this one really takes it out on the PC.

if you can run BF2 you can run BIA

also, a DVD drive will cost less than your game

i've been playing this game non stop.

absolutely amazing. it's still really hard on Easy mode. i'm over half way done now (on D.Day +6 hours now, the level that was featured on the video demonstration, with the building, and the guy sends his men up to stab the axis behind the MG42).

good stuff. haven't played it online tho, don't know if i really want to.
