Hyper Street Fighter II - Anniversary Edition

So I got this about a year ago for PS2, played it for a few days then haven't played it since

It's incredibly hard

I was never good at the old ones when I was younger

I just started playing it again and I'm awful but I wanna be better

Any advice?!
