I went to go see a local band by the name of The Xenith Sound on Saturday and they were fantastic. Kind of a mix between Nine Inch Nails and The Mars Volta (probably a terrible description). http://www.the-xenith-sound.com/

...Really?
It was probably my drummer who put us on there...

Yeah.. I just checked, and he put it on there... Douche bag.
Anyway, we play metal, with a little bit of progressive metal in there also. Every song we make seems to get more and more techncal and heavy. I can put up a sample song if you want. Just let me know.

Ok, I'm uploading them right now, one is a softer song, and the other is a version of one our newer songs, but we dropped the singer.
We mess up alot in both of them, we've yet to make a great CD of all our songs. We're working on it though.

Creed Of Adoration-

The first verse is sort of hard to hear because I play the guitar a little too soft. I think this is a pretty awesome song...

Clash Of Light And Shadow-

The song with our old singer, try to ignore the singer ;)
I love the end, even though the other guitarist fucks up.

Please comment these songs.

I myself am in a Local band we are called Kill Devil Hill, named for the hill from which the Wright Brothers flew their first plane. We are sort of a melodic death metal influenced metalcore. I might as well post the link to our page along with some of my favorite local bands from around my area. Check out what they sound like and if you like them then cool.

Not from my area at all, but they're unsigned.

Great band. They have a great sound, especially the guitars. Kind of a poppy sound, but a very talented band nonetheless.

I used to go to the Reverend Picklefist shows at Club Laga. One of the few Pittsburgh bands that had some good songs. I always thought their prima donna attitudes about the local scene held them back. Yes, there were a few ROCK bands from the burg that had a chance but screwed it up.

Here is a band from PA thats going to blow you all away (i hope). They are called the Postman Syndrome. Sounds a lot like Tool with 3 guitarists and a bit of metalcore thrown in for good measure:

There's a black sabbath obsessed asian band - www.larme.ca that I saw twice. They have long pink hair and wear mascara. In other words, damn good showmen, damn good show with decent originals.

I love whoring this band around to ppl. because they are that good (except for the singer)

We have a local band here in the Antelope Valley(lancaster, CA to be exact) called Warhead.

They just won a major battle of the bands here and are in talks as far as getting signed go.

They don't have a myspace account though. I've always wondered why.

my band will be up and running pretty soon.

I've started an AC/DC tribute band and I've just gotta flesh out a couple of member before we start rehearsals.

I'm thinking of naming the band Big Balls. We should be ready to gig in a couple of months.

Maybe they realized that myspace is an atrocious way to interface with other people. Congratulations to them for getting fans without it.

Seems like every band and their mother has one, it's debatable how useful it is.
