my tone isnt that bad:

ibanez RG > boss OD-20 > (sometimes visual sound h20 chorus or delay) > Boss EQ 7 > 1962 fender deluxe

but recorded it just sounds like crap...

no matter how low i turn the recording level thing down it still cuts off the top of my sound if you know wat i mean....

the mic sucks too ive been using the computer one/ on my iriver h320

im assuming the recording probs will go away with a descent mic....

do i need a new program for recording too? ive just been using windows movie editor lol....

i just need sudgestions....id spend money on a mic....rather a free program....

http://audacity.sourceforge.net

donwload your free software here, and of course you need something more than a computer mic for a decent tone! I don't see how all you people expect to get hi-quality guitar sounds with equipment not even meant to record music in the first place.

you can record driect form the OD20 if you don't have a decent mic, it has cab modelling.
