okay, so we're playing a live show tonight, and we need 3 mic stands. We had some before, but they were pieces of shlt, how much do you think i'd have to be paying for a decent one that won't break in a month?

seems weird... most places ive been to the venue supplies the stands and mics, though most singers bring their own mic.

part from a back line and possibly PA, most venues aren't expected to provide anything. Even a complete PA is a luxury.

just seems odd to me.
even the crappy little pub near me supplies a pa and mic and stands.
i guess it must be different where you are.
