Every scream is the same technique wise. If you know how to do one, it won't be hard for you to learn another. If you can only do one, you're most likely doing it wrong.

but i heard there are different types of screaming, and different ways of doing them. the only reason i can only do one is because that is the only way i know how to.

All screams are the same are basically the same, but, you can alter them by using less diaphragm and more throat. Or a falsetto, or no falsetto. It's all up to you.
I have both a low grunt'ish one and a higher dry sounding scream.

Practice singing normally. If you cant get any lower than you just cant...and thats the bottom of your range....at least for now. And its hard to build lower notes. But you can practice your arse off and maybe get a little lower..who knows.
And true...a scream is a scream is a scream. You should still feel like youre singing the growl if you want it to have any amount of tone....just singing really low with the traditional "glottal" scrape to get the rasp...aka....banking the sound off of the back of your throat. but you want strong cords to be able to handle all the xtra air from the extra push..which ...if youre smart...will be coming from your diaphragm...its all here....grab a sandwich and a drink and get comfy http://www.musicianforums.com/forums/showthread.php?t=286232
