hey. I recently got lent a copy of guitar pro 4 from school to put on my computer. over the weeks Ive been getting used to it. Im now trying to tab out one of my band's songs in it, but I got a problem.

I wrote a bass solo for a song a while ago. now Ive got round to writing the rest of the song, now Ive come to insert the solo, but its too slow. & I can't change the speed of the solo without altering the tempo of the whole song.

anyone know if this can be done/how to do it. sorry if this is a stupid question, but my copy of guitar pro had no instructions, Ive had to work it out by trial & error

Well you could try dotting your notes, which increases the length of the note by half

Or using tripalets, which turns 2 beats into 3

So are you saying the song is at 120 and the solo is at 100 or something along those lines?

at the moment, theyre both at 120, but I want to make the solo 155. the only way I can do this is by changing all the tracks to 155. which is no good

thats something you just dont do (have one instrument at different tempos than the other) say the note is a sixteenth note, and you want it to take longer to get to the next note you would try dotting(increase lenght of not by half) it or just making it an 8th note (double the lenght of the note)

just use the 16th notes with triples of 5's 7's with dots

mess around with them

go to the measure where the solo starts, press F10 and change the tempo to your desired speed, in the first post-solo measure press F10 again and change the tempo to the original speed.
