Whenever i try to uninstall (or re-install, or fix, or any fcuking thing C&C generals zero hour after a un-successful patch, it comes up with
Error Number: 0x80040707
Acess is denied
I google'd this error (before the obvious "google n00b!!!1111!!" post) all i got was try a system restore or search the registry keys.
1. I tried system restore, i went back a few months, didn't help in the slightest. If I wanted to get back to the defealt be fore i installed generals I'd have to go back over 1 and a half years.
2. I'm not great with computers so I'm not sure what registry key to delete. I searched for "zero hour" and "EA games" and del'd all the reg keys. Again this did nothing.
Help please, this is one of my fav RTS games. It blows I can't play it. :upset:

Not helping your problem, but my version Of Zero Hour has become really pathetic recently. It crashes, it lags in the menus and it causes a fair few freeze ups.
Its another EA conspiracy.

Might just be a crappily made game. I'd say uninstall both games. Then resintall them again till it works, but make sure everything is uninstalled.

It was fine till I tried to install a patch, it told me I was missing a file and had to re-install, I tried to uninstall wizard gets 3/4 through, *error*...I try to fix, wizard gets 3/4 through *error*. I try to Install fro mthe disc again, *error*.
I del all the EA folders and try to reinstall, guess what.....*error*
Its another EA conspiracy.
they offer to help to all the people whoa re stuck with this problem, they just tell to update their drivers.
All my drivers are up to date and my comp more than meets the Min system requirments
I hate EA with a passion

You obviously don't have rights to your profile.
Is it your PC? Do you have admin rights?
C&C Generals installs all items to the currently logged on profile. It's great, and was a smart move on their part. As long as I back up my profile, I'll never lose a saved game.
So, ensure you have full rights to your PC.
That is your problem.

Your profile is corrupt then.
You have been inflicted with spyware.
It's quite obvious you have no rights to write data to your own profile and registry.
What is the "admin screen" anyways?
Game has worked great for everyone else. Sounds like the real problem might be between the chair and the monitor.

I had the same problem with my Medal Of Honor installation recently. I've installed the first PC version of Medal of Honor quite a few times, but this time it was all weird. I went and found out you need to delete certain registry keys and then reinstall it. I know you've already tried that, but just make sure you didnt overlook anything.
