Rules:

1. To enter, you must post a single song.

2. If more than 10 but less than 20/30/40 people apply, the people that stay in will be decided by 2nd letter alphabetical countback. Otherwise, we'll have heats.

3. You must be in the band and on the recording you post.

4. The song must be hosted on a soundlick/purevolume etc., not yousendit or similar

5. You should vote in terms of musicianship and songwriting rather than recording skill, although a better recording will better represent your music.

Rules update 6/5/05

6. Posts in all caps or devoid of all punctuation/unreadable due to 1337n355 will be ignored (its for the best)

7. You may post covers, as long as you make it blindingly obvious that this is so. Obviously a refreshing cover of a classic can work, but original material that's good is better than a good but bland cover.

Sweet idea, man. Hopefully I get a song together soon I'll definitely enter it for fun. I doubt I'd win, because the only thing I have to record is guitar, and hopefully keyboard soon.

Excellent idea, maybe you should notify people about this in the Audio Arena as well?

If this were a monthly or bi-weekly thing, it would be a welcome fixture on the site. I can't enter it at the moment, not being in a band and not having the time at the moment to record all the instruments myself and program the drums, though I would be very interested in entering it at a later date.

Good idea, hope it works out.

Perhaps it would also be useful to notify people in the Bass, Guitar and Drum forums, that would maximise the amount of entrants, seeing as the regular posters in the Jam Session aren't that strong in numbers.

I tell you what.

I won't publicise this one any furhter than the jam session, if anyone sees it great. And we'll se how it works out, what goes well, what goes wrong. then, once its no longer unwalked ground, we can get the whole site in and make it a bit bigger.

Works for me, let's see if it works on a small scale. This can be the beta test.

Yeah Finally after almost a year & a half...(Whew)
I was starting to feel like Guns & Roses..lol
But we are jut getting into final mixdown & mastering & will have a release date soon hopefully sometime in July.
Once we have the first 5,000 copies manufactured, I will make sure I do something special for the MX crowd, a cheaper price per CD, plus I'll throw in some Guitar picks & lapel buttons too...
So stay tuned...

Awwww don't be scared... Trust is a bit heavy, but the others are a little less hard rock, but on the full length CD we got some Tool/Manson type of stuff that will scare ya too..
Heck, it scared me while I was singing it in the studio..

May i submit the bands web page? The songs are there. You just need to download them :)
If it is allowed then click away. http://www.hot.ee/masterbates/masterpieces.htm
The name of the song would be "From the noise comes evil BUKAKE-MAN to destroy big town down"

Knifeboy
