ok this is an emergency. heres the story:

This kid i know got a show a week or so ago and was like "yo you wanna be in it?" so i said OK and everything was cool. so me and these 2 other kids im in band with are playing with this kid and he tells us that he will sing and play some guitar. So we have a practice and the only thing worse than his singing is his guitar playing. So now i have 7 days until this show and we have no idea what we are going to do. We were gunna kick him out, but hes got the show... We want to do vocals and stuf, but we dont have enough time or any material. We were thinking about jamming the whole time with original songs, but we dont know if thatll work. The show is at this festival thing in woodstock so its not like we need to sing that much but i feel were basically screwed. The only thing I have against jamming is theyre going to end up making me solo the whole time We were thinking about doing something like Jessica by the allman brothers good idea? no? PLEASE tell me what you think we should do.

The set is about an hour 15 min

PLEASEEE !! THANKS FOR THE HELP

you guys can do some covers. That would be good for a festival. Covers and Jamming, that's how my band started.

you shoudln't have taken on a gig you blatantly can't fulfil. 2 weeks before the gig and no vocalist? you fools.

That's quite the predicament you've gotten yourself into. Decide what's worse: Pulling out of the show last minute, or getting embarassed on stage. I can't choose. Good luck.

you can't? It's a no-brainer for me.

If you don't show, no-one will miss you in all probability. Just claim you've had all your equipment stolen, or your guitarist has broken his wrist or something...

If you go up and humiliate yourself, you'll probably put yourself off ever doing a live show ever again.

Improv for an hour and 15, it will be the sickest thing ever
