*Resident Evil 4:Most Overrated Game of the Year*

Continuing the trend I started last year with my ever so popular thread devoted to Halo 2, I decided it was time for a sequal. Yes people, Resident Evil 4, is the most overrated game of the year.
I'll start of by saying, the graphics aren't that ****ing great. Everyone seems to blow their load when they hear the words, "Graphics in Resident Evil 4" however, this is not the case. I'm not saying the graphics are bad, they are definately better than the graphics of the original Resident Evil on playstation.
The controls are dodgey, yes infact, they are. Denying this is to deny your existance.
It's not as good as Resident Evil 2, yes correct. Resident Evil 2, was infact, better. So why is everyone making such a big deal about this game? I do not understand.

I agree with Dan, how are the controls bad? They are very simple and effective for the game.

And the graphics? They are some of the most BEAUTIFUL graphics I have ever seen. The lighting effects with the rain are great. If you're expecting perfect graphics that emulate life itself, watch a ****ing movie.

I say threadstarter stops making these threads as it's the exact same thing that Ramsey's pointed out. If you're going to call a game overrated, make more than 2 points please.

You know, I kinda agreed with this guy when he did the Halo 2 one, because I felt that there was a lot of hype surrounding what was a pretty generic sci-fi style FPS.
But now I just think he wants attention. The graphics are amazing. The controls are brilliant- I've never had a problem with them. Resident Evil 2 is so incredibly dated now that I couldn't play it through again cos it's complete tripe now.

Resident Evil 4 deserves all the praise it gets since it is different from any other game, has amazing replay value (I'm on my third time through) has amazing AI, brilliant graphics (seriously threadstarter, name 5 current games with graphics a lot better than this) is incredible fun and very atmospheric and grips you so that you don't want to stop playing. Plus there's a few extras after you finish the game which make it worth coming back to.

I found RE4 to be a very awesome and addicting game. It's ver replayable thanks to the bonuses at the end of the game.

I did find this game overrated if I'm honest. I mean no-one can deny the gameplay and graphics (I don't what game the threadstarter played), but I just felt the atmosphere was nowhere near as good as the other games and with the Resi series, atmosphere is far more important than the gameplay. This isn't due to me being a fan of a rivial console either, I've been a Nintendo fan since I started playing video games just incase anyone was wondering.

In the first time through the game as I got off the boat from the lake at night, there's a cutscene of the pack of wolves, and then back to real gameplay, and one pounced on me and started to bite my head.
