I used ot have RPG Maker 2000, but I downloaded the 2k3 version quite recently actually and deleted the old one. I really haven't messed with the new one at all, but I know it has a side-view battle system FF 1 & 2 style now, instead of Pokemonany other generic RPG style like the 2k version did. I really havent done anytihng with the new one though. The old one I started on a few games, but didn't finish anytihng. It's really quite a fun program, if a bit restricting, which can be worked around if you know how. Anyway, I've played a few amazing fan-made games ,ade with RPG Maker 2k, the best in my mind called Final Fantasy: Endless Nova. Really ****ing amazing if you ask me, and I'm not even a huge RPG or FF fan. At all. Google it and see for yourself. Oh, and the company Enterbrain has been shutting down all the free one son the Net because its illegal, but I finally found one on like the 6th page. I actually got the 2k version on a site that's gone, but I don't remember where I got 2k3.

Yeah, I used to be big on making RPG's with RM2k and RM2k3. There may still be some sites that allow the downloads, but chances are that there are very few because, as already mentioned, Enterbrain declared it illegal.
