what are YOUR friends smoking? I got a 12 inch Wuhan china and it sounds great, it's ment for one hit things really, like mini splashes and whatnot, only to emphasize..well, how I see it atleast, why listen to them anyway? you shoulda kepted the dang thing, sounds great to me
i found the problem with the chinas, not just wuhan, all of them. people dont like them unless they are used ALOT. i dont know why, people in my class hated it but then i used it as a ride and they loved it.
im probably wrong

its more of a trashy sound if your looking for that. not nesessarally a great crash if thats what your using it for.

think mine is an 18 and my god, its sounds sweet and cuts though anything, including my ear drum at times 0.0

if you hit it the same time as a nice cracky piccolo snare, the entire audience will bleed from the ears.

Well an idea could be to search the entire inventory of wuhans since each is handmade and has a diffeernt sound, then just pick out your favorite, or favorites since they arent expensive.

Ya wuhans are great. Lots of over tones and sustain on their crashes, total opposite on their splashes and chinas Great Cymbals for the Price

I'd have to agree with the majority here. I've used 2 different Wuhan china cymbals, and both were excellent and stood out amongst a crowd of similar sounding zildjians, sabians etc. GOOOOOOOOO WUHAN!
Not a bad choice with the Wuhan S series if you cant afford the top end stuff. they have a very brash and aggressive sound, but no cymbal really compares for the price.

those smaller chinas arent the type of cymbal to play over and over, yes, they get very annoying if u did liek a ride pattern on the mor sumthing, but its just an effects cymbal, and its very good for what its purpose is if used right

Last month i bought a effect-cymbal pack from Wuhan, a 12' mini-china and a 12' splash.
They are sound awesome! And that for €30,- =|...I like the minichina very much for playing accents,en the splash is sharp and clear,i bought also a Sabian AAX 12' splash!
But the Wuhan splash sounds better for me when i'm playn with my band, because it goes trough the soundwall of my guitarplayers, and the sabian isn't ;)
