Here's the story for the first verse, believe me or don't. I honestly don't care because it really happened.


There are clear plastic bags with some sort of chemical in them that are placed in a container to preserve certain foods. THey might be a chemical that absorbs water. Anyway, on the packet it says that it's toxic and should not be consumed.

So my brother, who was only 4 at the time, was sitting at the table, when suddently we (my family and I) see him chewing on this piece of plastic. And we freaked out thinking he just ate the poison.

There was some logical meaning for the chapstick I forgot about. Anyway, I was scared.

It turned out he wasn't eating the plastic bag with chemicals, just some plastic from another bag, for candy or something. And then I just wrote about it.

I ddn't want to start a conversation on chicken. The song is entitled that becasue I'm referring to that spectator as the chicken, not doing anything to help because he is too scared. You're a moderator of songwriting, you should at least read the song rather than "judge a book by its cover".

THAT is why. Those are arguably two of the worst 'verses' I have ever read on here, and that's against some pretty strong competition. It was dull, your rhyming was worse than atrocious, it made no sense, and was annoyingly pretentious and self-important.

That one good enough?

THe rhyming I liked but I can see how people can have trouble with it. I used to listen to a lot of rap, so my rhyming is weird.

It probably doesn't make sense. But if so, how is it in anyway pretentious and self-important?

I'd like to add that you guys should be a bit more open minded. There are many bands out there that have ridiculous titles and lyrics to their songs but they are accomplished great bands. Pavement, Apples in Stereo. Get some lyrics by Robyn HItchcock. Of Montreal has an album with 4-track demos they recorded. Look at the track names for that album. It's hysterical, the music is great. So don't go insulting lyrics that don't fit into the category of metal, or emo, or something incredibly serious and at the same time a bit ridiculous. This is a serious effort and I feel offended that you find it stupid because it's not intended to be stupid, at all.
