I was playing through a tab on gp4 of that song, but i knew it was off. It had triplets next to 16th note groupings, and I knew it wasnt right.

Thats not to say you can't do that, but come on. Listen to any COB song and, at the most, he'll group triplets with 8th notes

Once I re-teach myself how to work my drum machine it shouldn't take me long to program the song. GP files have the drum tracks worked out already, which makes things x1000 easier than trying to program something without looking at the rhythm notation.

Well, I get that you may be bored, and since you have obviously spent a lot of time here on MX, you feel the need that stirring controversy may create a more interesting mood, but just your elitism and your horde of elitist newbs went from being midly amusing to now being a pain. From your perspective, yes, maybe metal isn't as technical and doesn't require as much skill or knowledge of theory as maybe classical, jazz, flamenco, etc. but it still is a big genre. If putting down people who don't know as much knowledge of the fretboard or theory is what motivates you to continue to post in that forum, then maybe you should go to another forum?

I can't post anything about metal or shred or anything without being coined the term shreddie or being criticized for my liking in the music I listen to. It seems that your same group of friends has to weed out those that aren't as musically gifted or don't know as much, and it just doesn't seem right. There is a reason that acidbath or aria get banned as often as they do, for those childish and stupid actions of lashing out at those who don't listen to the music they do. The only reason I can think that you haven't been banned is yes, you do post material that may be beneficial, and you are the biggest poster, so banning you would make every go oh noes omgz, but i guess that counter balances your need to attack everyone who doesn't appeal to your musical tastes, so you don't receive the bans for doing those same actions.

I mean look at your user title "IN UR BAD THREADS; SUPPRESSING UR BAD MUSICS." That itself explains how you act.

Maybe in a way, since you have the most posts, you must seem like the powerhouse of these forums, and everyone must conform to your ideals or they will be flamed for it, but in a way, it is just a pain. I hate to go into a thread regarding metal, and see you and your friends bashing everyone, and then the classical threads or jazz threads remain untouched. Really, its just a pain. Nah not really. He's playing the right notes in time (sometimes) but the overall tone of every note is bad because of how he's fretting them. He also plays the arpeggio bit differently (sweep as opposed to string skipping) so his timing is out and it's sloppy on those parts.

Yeah the original solo is played badly but I just meant that specific arpeggio fits better imo. I prefer the opening lick in Sacrifice by Racer X though...

This Godless Endeavour by Nevermore has a great sweep picking section. I practised that today for about 5 minutes.

I was going to get a Laiho model too but I want this Finnish only model that's black with a yellow pinstripe. The bad thing is that the neck is rosewood (brown) so it doesn't match the body colour and it's got a liscenced FR. My Rg770 has a Edge Pro I think and I can work it with no trouble but I want to own an real FR to see if it's any different and to see if all these pussies that can't handle changing string on it are just talking crap.

But I'd rather have a custom Jackson RR with a green pinstripe like Roope used to own but that would = £££££££££££££££££££

it is rough at first. I had a C1-FR (schecter) that had an OFR. Those little black peices that hold the string in the bridge, yea, one shot up and hit me about 1/2 inch under my eye. It scared the fuk outta me :lol:

I've been asking people that own the Alexi sigs if you can reach the 24th fret easily and the answer is not really, even he looks like he struggles to get up there, but I think the Jacksons and the King V's would be better for that.

I still want an Rg550 with an All Access neck, this one has the old 80's joint and I hate it.

I have this habit of starting with upstrokes when I need to do tremolo picking on one string. It is easier for me to hit all the notes in time and not skip notes. Do you guys think I should break this habit, or will it be fine?

About the fret access on V's. My friend has an rr3 and the access is pretty good, but its only got 22 frets.

I think im just gonna work on chops with the metronome, work on some rhythm, and just slowly chip away at those tracks im working on.

Haha, actually that was from the new Guitar One mag. Apparently he hurt his wrist during weigtlifting a week before that and had been wearing a brace before the lesson.
