I'm not really trying to be a jerk here by the way, but i'm just pointing out some things. Any actual drummer will tell you that Joey can't play worth a damn.
I agree with you 100%.
I have the disasterpieces DVD and there's a short drum solo by Joey that's all nice and w/e.
His drummer doesn't stand out at all though. It's average...
Keep in mind, these die hard Slipknot fanboys who hail him as god on drums... Don't exactly know what talented is, when they hail Slipknot as sooooo talented.

I don't know about the American models, but the Japanese version of his ESP sig converted to nearly $3000. Biggest waste of a guitar ever.
It's too bad he was in the wrong place at the wrong time and had to leave Jackson. My $800 DKMG probably beats the hell out of his signature guitar, although signature models are never as good as the one the one they're copying.

Yes, it was an outrageous price for a mediocre instrument. It's obviously $2500 for Alexi's name alone. I couldn't believe they would charge so much for an axe with one passive pickup in the bridge position. That thing would get terrible cleans.
Maybe if I was a big enough fanboy I would buy it and put it behind glass or something, but I couldn't imagine playing it. For that amount I'd go to Jackson and have an RR custom made to look exactly like his old guitar, which was pure sex.

I don't mind Gibsons, but I absolutely cannot stand Fanders or Ibanezes. I played some Ibanezes at Guitar Center that were in the same price range as my Jackson and I coudn't believe how poor they were. Ugly appearence, weak sound, and it felt like I was holding some cheap starter guitar.

I would die for that guitar Alexi used in the Reap 'n Roll licks video... that thing was so sweet. Honestly though, too many people don't realize they can have a $400 guitar, then with a nice trem adjustment and changing the pickups can make it seem like a $1000 guitar. I really wish I could change the absolutely horrible pickups on my Jackson Warrior. People are going out and paying way too much to have guitars like Alexi. The way I see it, if you want to be like Alexi then go out and buy the cheapest Jackson RR with a floyd Rose trem and 24 frets, then change the trem pickup to an EMG-Hz. Those are the cheaper EMG pick-ups too.

Yeah, I know that feeling. My Kirk Hammett signature almost makes me sick sometimes looking at it. The only thing I still think looks good on it are the spider and skull & crossbone inlays. I think the greatest guitar in the world would be that green pin strip RR if it had those Scythe inlays like Alexi's ESP. That would be sick.

I don't mean to get into your buisness but I know depression and everything like that sucks. Everyone gets some of it, but there are more and more people who are getting it really bad. Hell, I was on perscriptions because I couldn't sleep from it. As long as you have something to wake up for it is alright. Like me, things like music actually got me down. Life makes everything worse, but when I hear things like Bodom or anyone else who can play and make better music than I can percieve scares me to death. Only because I know then that I won't get to where I want. Don't worry about it because with all the drugs the FDA make and crap there will probably be strong and safe things to take. Hopefully they make something to trick those mall kids who complain about life into taking which makes them finally realize their life does not suck. People who have bad lives should have rights to beat the hell out of those damned annoying Hot Topic cry babies haha. (If anyone here is offended by this... Well... good haha!)

None of my medication is actually directly related to depression because i'm not "depressed" according to some people. I just use painkillers, my allergy medicine, and sleeping pills to get rid of some of it.

Parents, and I'm guessing that they convinced the doctor because they came to an "agreement" about it. They pretty much told me to look at things more positively and get more sleep, which doesn't make any sense. I can't get sleep because of it, and looking at things positively just doesn't always work.

Sometimes it's not easy or even possible to look at things positively. I've had experiences where no matter what I thought I just wanted to sit in a corner and cry, and times like that can't always be dealt with on your own. It sounds like you've really got it, and if it gets any worse, you really need to say something. Coming to an "Agreement" that you're fine sounds like a stupid way to avoid the problem.

An agreement is nothing if you it's just a random guess that it might help. It's almost impossible to look at things positively when you are depressed or whatever because even positive have negative attachments. What I mean by that is that you can have something positive but no matter what you only find the bad things about it. Sleeping doesn't help much. It just means I am not as tired in school. Nothing I have tried works. If any of this is comming from a love life or relationship or anything, I don't know what to say. I think that depression/thing is different from the others. I havn't figured it out for myself.

You're deffinately right about that.
I have felt like that too. The only thing is, you need to try not to turn out like those wanna-be emo type mall kids who cry about their social life. When people hear about someone wanting to cry, that's all that comes to their head these days. Hell, even I have forgotten that some other people aren't always fake and really DO have problems that they need fixed. It must suck to be a doctor these days because there are a lot of kids who fake everything for attention and for people to feel sorry for them. All I need to say is don't deny it to yourself... it really doesn't help. I am stuck thinking intensely every night trying to figure out what needs to be done.
Anyyyywayyyy. So people don't get too mad about the complete off-topic idea of this board. Does anyone else here know who Neuroticfish is? Children of Bodom used to play their "They're Comming to Take Me Away" as they came on stage. If anyone knows who they are, does anyone know of any other groups that play similar music? I have gotten into their dark electronic-type feeling and was just curious if there are anyone really well known who are like them.

I honestly have no idea... That just sounded cool when the lights were off as they came on stage. It presented a really freaky atmosphere. All I know about that whole idea is that he was suicidal (not suprising) and he knocked himself out for a week with sleeping pills and booze I think.

Guitar world April 2005:
"Laiho decided that he'd had enough of life and was ready to die. Downing 30 tranquillizers, he knocked back a few shots of whiskey and slipped into unconsciousness.
'A friend found me on the floor and brought me to the hospital. i wasn't in a good place', he explains."
I don't know how long he was in coma, but i know that the suicidal attempt was after the release of Something Wild.
edit:
The way I see it, if you want to be like Alexi then go out and buy the cheapest Jackson RR with a floyd Rose trem and 24 frets, then change the trem pickup to an EMG-Hz. Those are the cheaper EMG pick-ups too.
you won't find a Jackson RR with 24frets... they don't exist!

Gibson and metal: Zakk Wylde, Slash, Jimmy Page, and even Metallica has some Gibson, but they never play them live
... and i know, that zakk wylde is more hard rock than metal and jimmy page classic rock, but they have/had a big influence on metal music!

I never get "upset" or cry....Everytime for me comes out in anger...I have a nasty temper and the aggressive personality to match. lawl.
If I feel like ****, I manage to get in a argument or w/e, get pissed, get very pissed and then go to sleep.
OD'ing is not funny.
I've OD"d on sleeping pills. Not a suicide attempt...I just was a idiot and took way more then I normally did to get a rush.
I don't reccomend drugs...FTR...speaking from expreience.

Then I have "Prolly" she's a acoustic yamaha that's named after the Nirvana song "Polly" I named her that because that was the first song I sang and played at the same time.
Then On monday ,My first son is arriving1 he's a 100Watt Vox Valvetronix...and I haven't decided what I should name him.

Dragonforce is cool. I have honestly listened to old video game music since last night no matter how weird it may sound to you people. Especially the "Hydrocity Zone Act 2" from Sonic 3 from Sega Genesis. I randomly remembered playing that game for over 7 years I think and remembering getting into that theme somehow. Video game music can be inspiring somehow, so it shouldn't shock anyone that Dragonforce were inspired by it.

So last night I was paging through the Revolver issue about Hottest Metal Chicks...damn, it was hot. Cristina is the second hottest chick I've ever seen in the whole freaking world.
And Tristania is amazing.
Plus Vinnie Paul told some guy to wrap a rubber band around his balls to prevent premature ejaculation. I suggest you don't try that, it starts to hurt after a while. :(
 I wish I picked that up now! I love Vinnie's words of wisdom.

It's a cover. The song is called "Move". I forget who it's by though, I'm sure Mitch (MrDuCran) will post it if he sees, he knows.
I have the whole passage to the reaper video which is what this is on.
The video has Alexi and Roope playing The Four Seasons (Vivaldi) as well as "Move".

Where I live in Massachusetts, we get a good amount of snow. Except snow isn't the problem here, it's the cold. One year I remember school being closed because it was -45 degrees F with the wind chill factor. That was fun... except for the fact you couldn't be outside longer than 20 minutes without getting frost bite.
